■ Sufficient infrastructure for logistics
Expressways, water transportation of Yangtze River, international airports and Eurasian railway all are available.
■ Water Transportation of Yangtze River
The Yangtze River connects Chongqing with Shanghai, Wuhan and other cities along the Yangtze River Delta. Transportation costs can be reduced effectively by water transport. After the completion of the Three Gorges Dam in 2009, 5000-ton ships can arrive in Chongqing along the Yangtze River. Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port Area and Guoyuan Port become inland international ports after completion.
■ Trans Eurasia Railway - The Yuxinou Railway
The Yu-Xin-Ou Railway connects Chongqing with Duisburg, an industrial city in western Germany. Known as “Modern Silk Road”, it started operation in 2011. It takes 16 days to reach Duisburg by train from Chongqing, 20 days fewer compared to shipping by sea. The 11,000 km-long Yu-Xin-Ou International Railway line, via Russia, Belarus and Poland, improves the Eurasian transportation condition to a great extent.
■ Air Transportation
It takes about 2-2.5 hours to travel to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong by air from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
